These terms apply to the BeFit mobile app, published by NorthForge Labs. By installing or using BeFit you accept them.
The service
BeFit generates a 30-day training block from the equipment, goals, focus areas, experience level and training frequency you provide. It tracks completed sets and days, includes a Coach that can explain and adjust your session, and offers an optional Buddy feature.
BeFit runs on your device and does not require an account.
Health and safety
BeFit is a fitness app, not a medical device or healthcare service. Nothing in the app, including anything the Coach says, is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Exercise carries a risk of injury. You are responsible for judging whether an exercise is appropriate for you and for stopping if something hurts.
Consult a doctor before starting a training programme, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, managing a medical condition, taking medication that affects exercise, or returning after a long break.
Stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, breathing difficulty, dizziness, fainting or similar symptoms.
Exercise instructions and illustrations describe movements in general terms and are not a substitute for supervision by a qualified professional.
The Coach
The Coach is software and may be wrong. Depending on the build it runs a rules engine on your device or sends your message and a session summary to a third-party AI provider. Treat its output as suggestion, not instruction, and do not rely on it for medical, nutritional or rehabilitation advice.
Changes the Coach makes to your session, such as swapping an exercise or reducing volume, can be reversed in the app.
Buddy conduct
If you use BeFit Buddy, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten or abuse another user
- send sexual, hateful, violent or graphic content
- solicit money, advertise, or attempt fraud
- request or share personal information, including real names, addresses, phone numbers or financial details
- share content you do not have the right to share
- impersonate another person, NorthForge Labs, or its staff
- use the feature if you are under 13
You are responsible for the content you send.
In-app tools let you mute, unmatch, block or report the person you are matched with. Blocking ends the pairing and prevents that person being offered to you again.
Buddy matching is not currently active. No pairing takes place, and reports are recorded on your device rather than sent to us. To contact us, email support@northforge.company. These terms will be updated before matching is enabled.
We may withdraw access to Buddy features from users who breach these rules.
Your content
Content you create in BeFit is yours and is stored on your device. We claim no ownership of it.
We cannot recover it. Resetting the app, uninstalling it, or losing the device will delete your training history permanently. BeFit provides no backup or export.
Restrictions
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source of BeFit, except where that restriction is unenforceable under applicable law. You may not resell or redistribute the app, or use its exercise catalogue or generated plans to build a competing product.
Availability
BeFit is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be error-free, that any feature will continue to be offered, or that it will remain available. Features described here may be incomplete or inactive in a given release.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorthForge Labs is not liable for injury, illness, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of BeFit.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using BeFit at any time by uninstalling it, which removes the app and its data from your device.
Changes
These terms are updated when the app changes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Your local rights
These terms do not affect the consumer protection rights you hold under the law of the country where you live. Where those rights conflict with anything stated here, they take precedence.
